strawberries, in november?

mmm...strawberries are delish....
but in november they can be difficult to find, and pricey.
lucky for me there are fruit markets right by the apartment and i was able to get 4lbs for only $10
which is still pretty expensive considering the state of them, and i was really only able to make use of one third due to mushiness and unripenedness
but whatever, i got enough to bake the strawberry cupcakes AND make the strawberry and cream cheese frosting
i spent most of yesterday afternoon/evening baking and man, did the apartment smell tasty....until i make fish and chips for dinner and the smells collided for an interesting effect

but you might be asking yourself: "becca, why were you baking yesterday? didn't you have a clothing alterations class to attend?"
and i would have to say; "George Brown screws me again!!"
the class i signed up for got canceled due to lack of enrollment.  i'm just going to transfer the tuition over to a section that starts later and hopefully more people will sign up for it, because i REALLY want to take this course and get certified and what not
*sigh*

so in other news, i will be going to a santa claus parade this year!
not the toronto one.
but the one in Perth!
we're going to help clay's dad take the pool table up to gramma inwood's house for storage and stay a while for the parade and nummy dinners i'm sure
exciting!

i also just got a whole bunch more responsibility at work :P
my boss has been 'let go' due to some 'corporate restructuring'
so i will be taking some more duties like key cards and holding the master keys for all the offices
yikes!
i am not a fan of such heavy responsibility
but i must admit that i have it easy compared to some of my fellow coworkers who are taking on significantly more
stoopid corporate bureaucracy garbage

bleh
lunch time!!!
