eat it

So.
another day of soul-sucking drudgery is coming to a close.
whatever.
i love my blase attitude about how my brain is slowly rotting in my own head.
i really don't care that much.

instead i will care about other things like having fun this weekend.
and next weekend.
and the weekend after that.
i just have to get moving on my plans for the upcoming weekends - need to figure out presents and costumes.

i would be excited about going to montreal next week to see spoon; except that i am no longer going. i won't go into the boring details, it'll just make me incredibly mad.
however, this now leaves with an open weekday to do with whatever i wish - i could go into work if i want, and am unable to find anything else to occupy my time.
anyone want to do something with me next wednesday? we can be footloose and fancy-free...

so, a recap of thanksgiving weekend perhaps?
saturday -- early dinner with my family, consisting of turkey with stuffing and cranberry sauce, pot roast, salmon, filipino noodles, spaghetti, roast veggies and potatoes, pumpkin pie, two kinds of fruit crisp (apple and peach), various fresh fruit and a purple yam dessert (i forget what it's called )
i was supposed to then go to my cousin's engagement party, but that didn't happen for various reasons. one of them being a hockey game that i had to watch, get kinda drunk and play cards with paul and leah.

sunday -- dinner with clay's family. involved a drive to grand bend to his aunt's cottage. we got turned around in guelph so it took about 45mins longer than it should have. we got to the cottage, and HOLY CRAP its over 30degrees! clay went boating and i dipped my feet in the lake and spent some time on the beach. dinner was delicious, with turkey and fixins and an arseload of dessert which included pumpkin pie and homemade butter tarts (which were amazing!) and the obligatory banana bread sent by my mom. then the drive home. it was ridiculously foggy, therefore taking about the same time as it did for us to get there. the bizzarre drives meant that we spent more time in the car, then we actually spent at the cottage. lame. but still fun, in that we were in a lake (and not freezing our buns off) at thanksgiving - how often does that happen?

monday -- we spent vegging out and recovering from our turkey hangovers. funnily enough we ate turkey for dinner that night too :P

damn. i wrote all of that and only managed to kill 15minutes.
perhaps i should consider doing some work.

ttfn.
