... Reading this, I am completely not sure which part of this is the most disturbing.

The fact that the check was rigged to bounce, the implied incidents I obviously don't know anything about, the fact that you're finding bandits and blowing them up...

... Or the stupid ideas running through my own head after reading this.

She's Lina Inverse, you get used to the bandits and the incidents that you're better off not knowing about.

And from what she's told me about Xellos, you get used to the fact that he's out to screw you, too.

So just be disturbed about that last one. :)

... Are the Digimon being the bandits or is Yggdrasill the one calling them?

And... Why is she even treating him with any respect if he's...

Never mind.

As a general rule, I try not to think about it. Giving them a face only leads to remorse...

As for Xellos, well... you and I should probably talk about that in private.

Nah, if they're actual BANDIT bandits, I don't especially care.

[Private]

... That word choice is awfully worrisome, though...

You've never seen Lina work. They call her the enemy of all who live for a reason.

Yes, I suppose it would be. He's... in his world, he's essentially a demon prince. Three steps removed from the being of ultimate power of his universe.

He's considerably weakened here, but... One doesn't live like that without picking up more than a little knowledge in the meantime.

I... See.

... So someone on par with Myey. Great.

But why would Lina put up with someone like that?

Usefulness, lack of options, a desire not to get on his bad side. I can think of a hundred reasons.

... In short, a complex environment.

Sounds... Really, worrisome. After all, I found myself in some sense of relationship with Myey, and look how it ended with me.

Ah... Lina and Xellos's relationship is... a bit more complex than that. But your meaning is well taken.

I see. Just... It's worrisome. Especially at a time like this.

I find it rather comforting, actually.

Of all the people who COULD be in a position of power within Tetha, we've got one who one of our senior members is intimately acquainted with.

Doesn't do much in regard to favors, but we can at least count some experience on our side.

That... Leaves me very little confidence given the comparisons...

I'm going to guess I don't want to know what these "stupid ideas" are.

I suspect you could guess by now, Lina.

I deal with a lot of strange people. Trying to get inside the heads of "stupid ideas" too much would only drive me crazy.

I'm annoyed after talking with that bastard. Humor me.
