New update on Mark from Todd Harmon, one of our church elders:
Cindy is discouraged today cause he is not doing better.
Mark is in very serious pain, so he does not want to cough. Can't clear fluid if he can't cough. They did an epidural to reduce the chest pain. There is a great chance of pneumonia as well, so please pray that it does NOT set in.
Yesterday, his liver was doing better. A normal reading is 45, and yesterday it was 35. Today it dropped down to 31. If it drops to 25, he will need a transfusion. So please pray that his liver will do better and stop bleeding.
Dr's are closely monitoring him 24/7.
Dr's also stated that Mark will be in ICU through the weekend at minimum.....
On a positive note, Mark did sit up in a chair today for a few hours, which is good, means his back is better.
