So this was a meme I saw a while ago and basically it's just about what fictional characters you feel you relate to and perhaps more importantly why you feel a connection to them. This was the most pretentious thing I've ever done but also really fun.
the women i admire, the women i aspire to be, and the women i understand.
{harry potter} - hermione granger.
- domineering
- defined by her intelligence to most people.
- loyal to a fault
- personal sacrifices are downplayed in the world she lives in.
{the vampire diaries} - caroline forbes
- underestimated all the time by her friends
- seen as selfish and 'neurotic'.
- feels personally accountable for situations out of her control.
- is sometimes irrational and melodrammatic but she's working on it, i guess?
{pretty little liars} - hanna marin
- is clueless to people's feelings
- often insensitive
- sometimes she says some stupid/illogical/ridic things
- is really close to her mum even though her mum's kind of cray-cray
{teen wolf} - lydia martin
- thinks popularity hinges on her ability to play dumb/pretty
- (wishes she was a redhead) bc that counts okay
- is actually really fucked up to be honest like in terms of the everyone leaving her out of stuff
{pretty little liars} - spencer hastings.
- has a habit of acting superior to others
- is frankly awful regarding her choice in men (i.e her sisters fiance!?)
- loyal
- is not simply the 'good smart one' and often breaks the rules to achieve her own ends
{gossip girl} - blair waldorf
- gives up on her 'dreams' easily
- desperately acts mature even though she's still extremely childish
- makes terrible life choices even though she knows better
- is awful to her friends to be honest when she's hurt.
{greys anatomy} - izzie stevens
- breaks rules even though she knows better and even though she's supposed to do the opposite
- can sometimes be really bitchy unknowingly or accidentally
- feels really guilty and personally affected by other people's emotions
- on the otherhand, makes decisions based on her emotions that adversely affect other people
{game of thrones} - ygritte
- acts like she's a lot more self-confidant than she is
- doesn't have patience for people that are indecisive
- i love her because of her swagger and sass which i don't have but still.
- is just a feisty, middle ages feminist!bamf and i aspire to be her so that counts
{the hour} - bel rowley
- doesn't take bullshit from the men in her life under any circumstances
- is more capable and driven than she gives herself credit.
- is a female character whose plot doesn't centre around her bloody love interest
- has a really fascinating relationship with her freddie/her best friend
{community} - annie edison
- expects everyone to be better than they are and holds herself to even higher standards
- doesn't accept failure and is terrified of it.
- is extremely sentimental
- is really resilient
- can't hold grudges for anything
- she tries to move on but holds onto past experiences (especially romantically.)
- wants people to see her how she is currently and now how she was.
- she's moral when it suits her.
- also: she's good at debating so
{once upon a time} - mary margaret blanchard
- really protective of her friends
- romantically is pretty naive
- never helpless
- fiercely independent
- she's also constantly positive despite her obstacles which is not so much something about me but something i admire.
