There are so many things about this I enjoyed. Your Donna voice for one, the way you fleshed out her character, how hardened you made her - which works really, really well in this scenario. It made me ache for her in a lot of ways, but also made me ridiculously proud of her, because she recognizes the situation, and moves past it, and that is who Donna is.

But this has got to be my favorite:

donna paulsen never demoted harvey specter to second place. he was already there to begin with.

Because it is so true, and honest and just... packed a punch.

IN SHORT: I adored this. And I hope you wrote more soon.

im so good you enjoyed this! haha, i was going for that - trying really hard to keep it from making her soppy and repentant bc she is totally~ not damsel in distress material.

i'm so glad! AND THIS MEANS SO MUCH COMING FROM YOU. <3 <3

This was really brilliant and I am so glad you pictured this, exactly because her comeback was so antidramatic and maybe even a bit not-Donna and how did Harvey dare. I loved the way you wrote her voice and her inner thoughts. Thank you for sharing!

Jesus, this was raw! And brutal! And awesome.
Because if Donna is ruthless towards the world, I can only imagine she'd be twice as bad when it comes to herself. (Aren't we all?)
It was very hard to read this because I'm overly protective of my dearest ficcional characters (if it sounds too crazy then it probably is) but so rewarding regardless.
I really hope you keep writing for these two. Excellent writers are never enough, specially for this fandom.

thank you so much!

i do believe she'd have the same ferocity externally as well. did you believe i'd mess them up? haha, i worry about that too - don't worry about it. but all the same, i'm glad you thought i did them justice.

i definitely shall. keep a look out for more! <3

The raw emotion in this fantastic. It's painful and powerful and just wow.

his smile turns smug and he leans back in his chair with all the self-assurance she hatesloves him for.
I love the way you so clearly show how the line blurs for them (I mean here you focused on her, obviously, but it reflects nicely on how it blurs for them in canon). It's that toeing the line between knowing each other so well that they drive the other person crazy and knowing them so well and still loving them despite that.

Nicely done!

i am absolutely godsmacked, thank you!

yes, ia, you're right. i think with them it's more a balancing act. it's almost scary to me how little how 'thinks' he relies on her because they don't share private information with each other (at least she doesn't with him) and that comment about him never asking her opinion really threw me off. but this is my patchwork piece about their perfection.

ugh thanks for reading and the concrit! <3
