You write something down, now the idea you're drawing from becomes solidified, crystallized, it isn't fluid anymore. So every time you write down an idea that pops into your head, you've sort of killed the possibilities that fluid idea could have been. It's kind of sad, conception. Only one out of your million thoughts gets a chance, all the others die, and the odds of that one making anything of itself is pretty slim. So you concentrate on one idea, or a few, and try to make them grow into something worthwhile, or you throw out a bunch of bastard thoughts into the world and abdicate all responsibility for them.
