"They look like a bunch of wild mustangs!"
So as most of you happened to notice, I am not in fact in Anozira this weekend. The rumors are true, I am in Dallas, Texas, currently updating this from my aunt's home in Lakewood. My father and I have been attending "Mustang Days" on the Southern Methodist University campus. If there anything exists could possibly make me more excited to attend, it would probably have to be packing up to move there.
It's a gorgeous campus. The faculty did an incredible job of itnroducing everybody to the school. The "Rocky Mountain States" admission counseller knew my preferred nickname, remembered my intended major, and kept trying to find other engineering students to introduce me to. My father and I even had an impromtu meeting with two program directors from the engineering departments--they were excited at having new students. We sat in on an engineering class and I even caught on to what they were talking about! The teacher was enthusiastic, engaged, knowlegeable, and was willing to go the extra mile to make sure the students knew the material.
It has almost everything I've dreamed of in a school, and I am nothing short of extatic that there is a place for me there.
