i dont really write in my journal that much, and i only occasionally read some people's journals.

but i needed to write that the cd we are recording is something i am very proud of, and i cannot wait until i have that album completed, in a hard case, wrapped in plastic, with a bar code, everything.. in my hands.

if you like the cheat, i know you will appreciate what we are working on right now.

i am proud of derek dolan, he is such a talented musician. he can play anything he hears on the guitar and learn it perfectly in 2 minutes, and he is creative enough that he can write basslines on the spot and have it sound like it took a week.

brian's drumtracks sound amazing, and his fills are so tight. he has so much energy when he performs, and you can hear how into it he is when you listen to the recording.

joel... well, joel makes me laugh while i am singing. and thats never happened before until he has been in the band. and he moshes during slow songs, which also makes my night. he has become an important part of the band and i am really glad hes involved.

i know that local bands get old, and usually you figure you already know what they sound like, and because of that, you dont go to see them. i just think its important to support local musicians, because a lot of kids take their talent for granted.. and there are so many young amazing musicians in this area that people push aside because they have already seen them play. im not trying to guilt trip the music scene or anything, i just really appreciate playing a show with my best friends, doing what i love most in the entire world, and having kids watch and listen, and appreciate what they hear. its undescribable.

basically i just want to say how proud i am of my band. and to paraphrase the words of paul simon, i dont care what the audience feels when they hear us play, as long as they feel something.
