[his memories aren't clear enough to be able to tell how many days it has been since he's returned to the lab in the mountains. That delirious stupor that he'd been in... it made it seem as though his five weeks of captivity in one lab blended seamlessly into finding himself holed up in this empty one. Slowly, however, reality finally descends. He really is back in Luceti, the drugs are out of his system, and his master hasn't reappeared yet.
There was rage, of course. A breakdown, a violent spilling of insanity while isolated, but the journal was luckily shut tight against that. By the time that he finally pulls himself together enough to speak, gathers up all his pieces and opens the journal, the dead monotone has returned, and there is a brand new crack marring the surface of that hulking glass tank.]

[he considers leaving it there, but... he's too antsy. There is a whole writhing sea of untapped information out there, in the village down below. He doubts that any of the creatures truly have any answers--they never do--but it would be foolish of him to not at least try. He needs to do something, anyway... or he fears that he will go even more mad than he already is. As it is, he can't help but sound a little unhinged as he vaguely addresses the population at large]
Surely, some of you must at least have theories. You can't really be trapped in a cage for this long without at least wondering why, am I correct? Maybe... some of you have seen things, heard things. You can't all be completely ignorant.
What am I missing?
