Last night went to the London Tea Room for a tea cupping (which is like a tasting), and had a lovely time. We got to try six teas, some of which I'd had before, and learn about their histories, where/how they're grown, etc. AFterwards Allison and I hung around for a bit and talked to one of the owners and workers, where we both practically got ( Read more... )

Oh that sounds lovely! I can understand needing to guard your free time, though. I've never had ginger teas, but a friend of mine absolutely loves them. She sent me a tangerine tea before which had a pomegranate tinge to it, iirc. It was good but this sounds better. Maybe it's just the scene you painted. ^_^

This was my first ginger tea that I'm aware of, and the ginger isn't really too strong, it's more of a ginger aftertaste, just that little something extra. IT's very good, and if you're ever in the STL area, you should totally go to the London Tea Room.

Also that Pomegranate tangerine tea sounds amaaaaazing!
