On Bulls & Heroes
Today I´ve just finished reading the Táin Bó Cuailnge, the Cattle-Raid of Cooley, a Celtic tale that I´d already knew the outline of, but after reading this (supposedly the best translation from Irish), I´ve just fallen in love with it -- the epic battles, the wonderful poetry bits, the archaic and sometimes escathological sense of humor, the stunning artwork of Louis le Brocquy-- and all of this for $9 bucks, from the used books section of Amazon.
And to think that some silly people say that there aren´t any Gods ;-)))
