(no subject)
well i havent updated in a while...all summer in fact.
i figured i'd post an entry though, because im currently very bored, and avoiding coloring my hair because i dont know what to do with it.
annnnyway...school starts on thursday, which is 5 days away, and we just got our schedules in the mail today.
here's what i have for first semester:
1: ECONOMICS - dont really know a lot about this class...its required for graduation, so i had to take it.
2: FALL TEAM ACTIVITIES - i reallllly wanted the p.e. class called "Adventure Challenge", but i didnt get it. this was my second choice, so whatever. i hate that we have to take p.e. all 4 years of high school. and yet, illinois is still labeled the fattest state in the country, so p.e. classes dont do shit.
3: ANATOMY/PHYSIOLOGY HONORS - Everyone who took that class last year had fun in it, so hopefully it will be the same for me.
4: SCULPTURE 1 - had to get an art class in there somewhere.
5: ADVANCED INDEPENDENT READING - i think this will be an okay class...less writing, more reading. that works for me.
6: LUNCH - 'nuff said.
7: PRE CALCULUS - grrrrr i hate math. =[
soooo thats it for me. i'll update about a week into school and write about how the classes are going.
in other news, i just got back from spending 4 days in chicago. it was nice to get away from home, even though i was still with my family the whole time. i love chicago, it is an awesome city. (except for the crazy drivers). i went to the zoo, aquarium, planetarium, john hancock building, beach, muesum, and other times, just walked around the city. i took lots of pictures, they're on my myspace if you want to check them out.
other than that, not too much else going on. im going to start my college applications soon. my number one choice is a college called North Central College, which is only about 30 minutes from home. my second choice is called Augustana College, and its about 2 hours away. either school would be great. they are smaller schools, only about 3000 students, but i think that will be better for me than a big university, like the one my cousin Will is starting at this year. im still not completely sure what im going to major in, but i think i want to study classical civilization, art history, literature, archaeology....that type of thing. we'll see what happens.
ummm, what else? my nephew Rosalio is now 1 year, 1 month old...and is freakin awesome. he just learned to walk, and now he runs around everywhere. he's also really smart, and he just makes me smile all the time. my brother and his wife are expecting a baby girl sometime in november, and im so excited! ummm....my 18th birthday is this september...oooh the big 1-8. dont know what im doing for it yet.
