I just watched the Chinese lantern festival closing fireworks from my balcony.
All the other 149 apartments that I hate came out and we all watched together. Then everyone clapped and smiled at each other in the end.
I think you probably had to be here to understand, but I feel suddenly fond of this place.

I'm looking forward to my trip the optometrist on Thursday. Hopefully, the news will take a weight off my mind...
