...everywhere I look has different amounts of time the turkey is going to take to cook. On allrecipes I saw 4 hours, but it was for a 12lb turkey, but in the comments some people had 18 or higher and they said 4-5 hours. Mike says about 4 hours. The bag on the turkey says 6-7 hours. It turned out really good, other than the gravy, and that was my fault for over-salting it on accident. The turkey took around 4 1/2 hours. I did end up covering the turkey with foil for about 3 of the hours it was in there, and it came out pretty moist. The sides were ready in under an hour.

Thanks a lot for telling me how to deal with the turkey. It was kind of intimidating seeing all the different recipes online, so I wasn't sure which one to try. -_-

Sure sure, it never hurts to help. I was just guessing on the time actually, so I'm glad to hear I wasn't too far off, which is why I also mentioned to the temp.

Yeah, I definitely did use a meat thermometer, since it's really hard to tell if it's done just by looking.
