livejournal is just SOOOOOOO gay.
i have a really hard time seriously updating this thing and i'm starting to wonder if it's really worth the time- as if i haven't wondered that a million times before.
signed the lease today for the apartment which begins next semester. pretty skreeeet.
might be living in philly this summer. not sure yet.
i have yet to fully apply myself in school. i seriously think there's something wrong with my brain. i have no motivation whatsoever. i have been studying for tests though, something which i never use to do. it's probably the reason that i'm doing as well as i am in statistics.
however, i have missed english class 5 times, and didn't turn in the last assignment because it was too STUPID for me to complete. i missed the last two classes, and the class tomorrow is cancelled, so hopefully she won't give me any shit when she sees me on thursday... even if she does, it probably won't make a difference.
i've been reading a lot lately, trying to pry myself away from the reliance on video games and the computer for entertainment. i'm reading atonement by ian mcewan and it's one of the most sophisticated things i've ever come across.
the ironic part is i didn't read this book which i was supposed to for history, and therefore couldn't do the book review on it. a book about some japanese girl in seattle pre ww2? no thanks. i swear to god this guy picks the worst books for our course. the last one was that shit about the slave who got raped and killed her master. give me a break. the next one is jarhead, so i'll probably read that.
i'm actually learning a lot in the class, but he gives a ridiculous workload. i guess i'll know that i've become a real student when i'm able to read the books that i don't want to.
all my other classes are straight. my speech is done with for communication, so now i get to sit back for the next week and watch people be extremely nervous... suckers.
global issues is a pretty sweet ass class. we have this ex air force dude teaching it. he announces our quizzes two class periods in advance and gives us the questions. he also doesn't take attendance so i basically get a lot of days off from this class, while still making the grade.
i need to register classes for next semester but my advisor is a complete idiot and is impossible to get in contact with. blah.
anyhoo, gonna go sleep some and then sleep a little more until early afternoon because i'm the shit and everyone wants to be me. holla holla.
