summer updateness
Summer has been going pretty good overall even though there have been moments that make me sad or angry. Like today with my car. I went to go get my brakes checked because they like to squeek. Apparently, ford wasn't really thinking about routers on the SE focus when they made the brake pads. Or maybe they did and expect people to go to ford dealers to get them fixed....anyways...my routers are almost no good so I'm replacing those and the brake pads. It will come to a grand total of about 320 fuck dollars. Both the guys working explained things thoroughly to me so I could understand whats going on. I guess when ford made the focus, they wanted to make really secure brake pads so they put a lot of tough metals in the pads so they tear the shit out of the routers quicker. It's common for a focus to need new ones between like 20 and 40 thousand miles. sigh. So I'm gonna wait to get the scratch fixed on my car until I start accumulating more money. Oh well....such is life I guess. Must remember to look at brakes n such when I go to purchase another car someday.
On the plus side, I have an interview at the restaurant five today in an hour. It's in like a hotel golf club thing. It seems really nice. Not sure if I'm going to work there and ruby tuesday or just one or the other. I'll see how flexible they are...especially with school coming up in the fall.
Fourth of july was really fun. Andrew and I basically spent time with both our families in Port Austin. My family was at a campground and his family stayed in a really nice cottage on the lake. So I guess we got the best of both worlds ^_^.
umm...thats all I can really think to talk about right now. My dedication to LJ has been dwindling unfortunately ;_;. I really don't have much time usually. sad =(.
Although it's nice to read others' journals and see how people are doing ^^
