Blood+ 38
Just got through watching Blood+ 38, so now I'm finally up-to-date with the fansub releases. Now begins the long dry spell between subbed releases - which is kind of annoying, since it would be so nice to be able to keep level with the Japanese releases, like other subbers do for Holic and Nana... but eh, there's nothing I can really do about it,

lmao, the flower. Some things in Blood are just stupid, and I'm sorry, Death by Flower is one of them. Who dies retrieving a FLOWER off a CLIFFSIDE? Not even Hagi should be obedient enough for that-
Hagi: "Saya, no, don't get it, it's too dangerous!"
Saya: "...ok, fine - you get it, then."
Hagi: "Bitch, it's a FLOWER. There's another one exactly like it 20 feet away from here in the field, go get THAT one."
But no, instead:
Saya: "...ok, fine, you get it, then."
Hagi: "...yes, mistress. Hang on tight to those balls of mine in your pocket, I might need it back in the future."
*splat*
Hagi: "My only regret...is that I tried...to get that stupid flower."
a FLOWER >_< *fist shake*

So many aspects of Blood+ are inherently stupid and yeah, Death by Flower is right up there. In the manga Diva kills him and I found that method of death to be far more believable than "LOL, I'LL GET U THAT STOOPID FLOWER". I also found the way David got over being an alcoholic to be totally retarded- either he's an alcoholic or he's not, don't just have him being a drunk and then be suddenly ok enough to drink champagne at a party a few episodes later!
Still, what I really love about this show is how much I adore it and hate it all at once.
The manga isn't great but it is fun, Kai headbutts stuff and James gets cut in half! AWESOME! I'd recommend checking out the Adagio manga too since Saya isn't that annoying in it, Hagi is a million kinds of hot and there's GRAND-DADDY DAVID THE PRIEST. Oh 1916 Russia, what didn't you have going for you?!

lmao, believable and *dignified*. I'd rather get a hole punched through me by Diva than have to admit to someone that I died because I attempted to procure a flower from a cliffside. Maybe that's why Hagi doesn't talk *the shame* XD ye of no belief~ David was cured by the magical Hagi-smile, which grants new life to all those it is bestowed upon (or, puts them to sleep, in Saya's case) I bet if he smiled at Joel, Joel could totally walk again.
Of course. It can be endured, because for some incomprehensible reason, beyond all the faults and flaws and the massive stain that is Saya, it is a good show :D Personally, I blame the OP/EDs
*nodnod* I was a little turned off by the alternate-universe take on events in what I read, but mostly I stopped reading it 'cause nobody was scanlating OR translating it (at least, not that I could find). The tragedy. I totally wanted to read the Russian thing (Sagi love <3) omg priest David LMAO, great. Regular priest, or does he have a hat of some sort ;D

Joel doesn't need to be cured by magical!Hagi since he LIKES being in a wheelchair. Seriously, he didn't smile that much when he could walk!
I find Joel endlessly amusing, obviously I am insane. Hagi's too good for the show, that's probably why he doesn't speak.
The manga is pretty although the events are very condensed and quite alternate universe. Still, I buy it because I need the David-ness ^^;;;

I scanned in all the good 1916!David pics the moment I got my fangirlish paws on Blood+ A - OMG HE'S A PRIEST LOL. Srsly awesome manga, oh and have some Hagi Fanservice too while you're at it XD!!
