1000th Summer is Over :(
Well, I FINALLY finished watching Air. I've only been in-progress for like, 4 months, but whatever. The POINT is that I finished it. And let me just say, I *really* need to get a life. Really. Because I cried like a bitch for the last five episodes....
I cried when Kanna died. I cried when Ryuuya died. I cried when Yukito said his last good-bye to Misuzu, I cried when Misuzu rejected Haruko, and kept crying when Haruko tried so hard to make Misuzu happy. The Misuzu FORGOT her, then Haruko tried to be a good aunt, then begged for more time with Misuzu, then Misuzu called her "momma" on the beach. Seriously, like the entire time I was sitting there with tears pouring out of my eyes, like an idiot. Then when Misuzu actually DIED? Sobbed. "GOAL"? Loudly. Like a freakin' baby. I could barely read the words, my nose was running, and them playing Aozora DID NOT HELP.
I swear to god, it's like the most pathetic I've ever been during an anime, and I cry at everything. Wolf's Rain, Gungrave, FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST, the ending of SAIKANO. And I hated Saikano. It doesn't take much, but holy crap, Air just kicked my ass. I blame it on the fact that I got a total of four hours sleep in the last two days, which is bound to make me emotional. But really...I love that series. LOVE. Even though the last few episodes felt really, really rushed, and really weird (why the hell did Yukito spontaneously turn into a damn crow? was it his punishment for being too close to Misuzu? I'm confused... And pissed. They didn't even get to kiss!) Anyway, needless to say, I am an Air fangirl. I need to make an Air icon. Oh, speaking of which, I gave my profile a layout and some color bars that I made while I was bored, so if you're, y'know, bored, check it out~ ^_^
Anyway, I've also decided that I will stalk Aozora relentlessly, hoping for the owner to slip up (yes, I'm evil). I'm hoping to become a Kanon fangirl, too, since I found a place with the old episodes in .RM (which is kind of an issue when it's a pretty Key anime, but I can deal), and fully intend to start watching the remake in October. Anyway, I'm currently downloading the Summer Special, and put in a request for a DD of the movie. For some reason my new computer doesn't like Bittorrent, and fansub.tv doesn't have it :(
Oh, yeah, speaking of which - I got a new computer. It's nice. Small, but big hard drive, and plenty of RAM. Brand-new monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc, etc, because I've never had a desk top before, and I am officially $1,000 in debt. And also jobless, did I mention that? Borders didn't call back >>" I have to find a job before Dad comes home, or he'll kill me. "Your mother and I ARE NOT going to pay for a new computer for you AGAIN," etc, etc. So I just need to apply at Stream. Am I good at customer service, tech support, and/or telemarketing? Absolutely not. But they're desperate, and so am I, so it's a good match.
So anyway, I'm gonna run off and watch the NEW WITCHBLADE! *squee* and then probably Air in Summer. OH, YEAH, and did I mention how much I'm freaking out about MARS being a live-action drama? THAT SOMEONE SUBBED!!!! How awesome is that?? I LOVE Mars, it's one of my favorite shoujo mangas (my first non-CLAMP shoujo manga, at that), so I'm psyched to start watching the drama. The OP and ED songs are beautiful (already DL'd them XD), and the guy looks so much like Rei it's weird. I mean, he's not blonde or anything, but...I dunno, maybe it's the hair. Anyway, he really is an amazing real-life version of Rei <333. Aaaah, can't wait to start watching.
Oh yeah, and caught the 2nd dubbed episode of Bleach. I weep. Orihime made me want to hit something. They even did a bad job with Sado-kun! How can you screw up Sado-kun??? He doesn't even TALK THAT MUCH! Rukia's voice actress continues to suffer from extreme lack of acting abilities, and Tatsuki...actually wasn't as bad as I thought she'd be, so I guess she's OK. But poor 'Hime. Really, Ichigo is the only decent VA there, even though his voice is nothing like normal Ichigo. I go crying to the arms of my fansubs, let me tell you.
