Solid State Society

Heh, so I finally got around to watching the new Solid State Society trailer (watching being the operative word - it was on mute, so there wasn't even any sound involved >>") and it looks spiiiify <3 I can't wait to see it. Of couse, that might be a long time from now, considering Bandai's oh-so-scary threat to fansubbers. *sighs* Damn it. I dunno if it'll actually effect the fansubbing of the movie, but it's sorta scary to hear. Scare tactics, obviously, but... Wonder if it'll work. Damn. It's something I'm gonna buy, regardless, because I adore the dub work more than the original, actually, but still - they're aiming for a Spring 2007 release for the English version T_T Waaah, months and months away, and this is prime stuff, BATOU/MOTOKO stuff, since how else would Batou deal with Motoko possibly being on the wrong side of the law than to angst over his luuurve for her? HOW I ASK YOU? Perhaps she will try to seduce him into believing she's the good guy - well, good girl.. *fangirl dream* *deflates* I don't wanna wait till 2007 to see that! *misery* I guess we'll just have to see how the fansub distribution goes...

Anyway, I couldn't resist capping and icon-ing the hell out of the trailer, since it was oh-so-cappable. Some I just lightened and colors, others I actually icon-ed in some way, so they're divided up by that. And I apologize for the huge post size, LJ cuts refuse to work for me fo some reason :(

Oh, yeah, and check this out -->

omg ape-man is walking with a cane! Nooo, ape-face is not allowed to get feeble and old-man-ish! :(

And shit -->

NO, BATOU, DON'T SHOOT MOTOKO! You LOVE HER! If either of you were the marryng type (well, let's be honest, if *she* were the marrying type), you'd get married and have lots of robot babies!

COLORED BASES (they're called bases, right?)

TEXT/EFFECT-Y ICONS

And will someone please explain to me how to work LJ cuts? I keep trying the different methods in the FAQ and they don't freakin' work >>"
