I want to see Se7en and Blue Velvet toooo...

Dude, go watch Trainspotting...now.

...And yes, I screamed when I saw that someone on that list has seen Holiday and I still can't get my hands on a copy. *cross fingers for a DVD to come out*

You want me to see Trainspotting too?

Okay. Seriously. I need to start compiling a list of movies to rent this summer. There are a lot.

I watched it for film, it was great. But like usual, I had to put my head down for the needles. Blah.

Don't I know it. I have trouble watching the VHS I have in my drawer right now.

What'd you think of the scene where Renton goes digging in the toilet?

It was disgusting. I was waiting for him to vomit and was bracing myself. The director did his job of showing the disgusting side of Scotland alright.

What do you think of Renton's diving into the toilet and how it's suppose to symbolize the blur between reality and surrealism? When I first saw that I was: WTF?

It took me a moment to catch on to what was happening and that it was clearly a drug-induced moment that had overtaken reality. Really, I was quite simple-minded and more appalled Ewan McGregor was actually putting his hands into a toilet bowl and digging around.

What about when he overdoses following and the red carpeting comes up on both sides of the screen to represent his tunnel vision? I thought that was sort of a quirky addition myself. I laugh everytime that comes up even though I really shouldn't.

I vaguely remember the tunnel vision. I've always remembered that scene as him sinking down into the red carpet and it representing his "death." ...Might have to get my hands on a copy of the movie now. But anyway, I love that part and was amused by it when I first saw it.

All this talk about Trainspotting reminds me of Spud's scene with the bedsheets. *shudders*

That was the scene Leigha was telling me about when I first asked her about Trainspotting.

I love how I'm pretty much learning about the movie from the conversation between you two. ;x
