Donghae POV
"Sungmin hyung!" I cried out.
"Ah, Donghae! Why?" He asked me.
"There's a new student right?" I asked curiously, scanning the whole field of students that were passing by and chattering loudly.
"Yes. His name is Kim Kibum. He's an exchange student from the States, but he's pure Korean. He's quite a loner actually." He thought for a while. "Oh! I promised Kyu that I'd meet with him on the canteen."
"Bye, hyung." Kyuhyun is the boyfriend of my best friend, Sungmin. I don't really undertsnad what Kyuhyun found in Sungmin. Sungmin's cute, but he's always talking about fluffy bunnies and pink. He's obsessed I tell you, obsessed. When I found out that Sungmin's gay, I wasn't surprised. I approached our classroom. Everything was still the same. Same chairs, same tables, and same of cliques. Only one stood out. A guy who was listening to music on his black iPod must be Kibum. I approached him.
"Hi! I'm Donghae!" I introduced myself.
"Hi." He said smugly.
"Ehhh? Why so gloomy? It's such a wonderful day!" I pointed to the sun and the fluffy white clouds.
"Leave me alone." He muttered.
"Eh. Stand up~ I'm going to buy you icecream." I pulled him up.
"Fine." He annoyingly said.
I dragged him to the canteen.
"What flavor do you want Kibummie?"I looked at him. I saw the corner of his lips curved into a small smile.
"Any."
"Okaaay." I faced the icecream vendor. " Two strawberry icecreams, please."
The vendor handed us two icecreams.
"Here Kibummie~" I handed him the icecream.
"Thanks, Donghae." He mumbled.
"I wanna ask you something. Why are you alone?"
"I don't really have many friends."
"Why?"
"I just feel like i'm nothing to them."
"Aww.. c'mon Kibummie, I'll show you my friends!" I took his hand and dragged him to Kyuhyun and Sungmin. My heartbeat quickened as I held his smooth warm hand.
"Hae, where are they?" I blushed as he said my nickname.
"They're here~" I led him to Kyuhyun and Sungmin. "Guys! This is Kibum."
"Hi." Kibum muttered.
"Hi! My name is Sungmin and this is Kyuhyun."
Kibum smiled. It was the first time I saw him smile a full smile. Those pearly white teeth gleaming like it was from a toothpaste commercial. I think... I love him.
After a month...
"Hae?" Kibum asked me while walking home.
"Yes, Kibum?"
"Would you like to go out with me on a date tomorrow?" He asked shyly.
"Oh. Okay. Where?" I said, surprised.
"At the park. Near the big tree with the bench at 3pm."
"Okay. See you tomorrow then, Kibummie."
"Okay."
I went inside the house with a smile on my face.
"Donghae, why so happy?" My brother Hankyung asked me.
"Nothing." I lied.
"Yah! Lee Donghae, spit it out already!" Hankyung hyung's boyfriend Heechul shouted at me.
"Nothing's happned, hyung." I really hate when Heechul hyung persuades me to tell the whole story to him.
"Tell me or you won't be my favorite dongsaeng anymore!" He threathened.
"Try me."
"Aish! I HAVE A PHOTO OF YOU HUGGING A FISH PLUSH! I'LL UPLOAD IT TO THE INTERNET I SWEAR!" Heechul screeched while holding his cellphone featuring me in my pajamas hugging a fish plush.
"Fine, fine." I gave up. "kibum asked me out on a date."
"Oooooh. Is Kibum the hot guy?" Heechul asked.
"I think so."
"Oh well, have fun on your date. Hannie and I also have a date tonight." Heechul pulled Hankyung hyung to the bedroom and closed the door hardly. I heard noises as soon as they went it.
Yuck. How could I sleep? It could be all night!
The next day...
I opened my eyes. The sun was shining brightly. I looked at the clock. Shit. It's 1pm already. I took a bath and ate lunch. Hankyung and Heechul hyung are not here. Maybe they're making out at Heechul hyung's place.
"Wah. Do i look good?" I checked myself in the mirror. I looked at my sapphire blue watch. 3:00 pm. Time to go.
I went to the park, Kibum was not yet there.
"Hmmm.. He must be late." I thought and sat down on the bench near the big tree. I watched children run around. Not noticing tthe time, I checked my watch again. It was almost 6pm. My heart shattered into pieces.
'He's not coming. It's getting dark already."
I felt a raindrop drop on my cheek.
"Oh, goody. Rain." I mumbled sarcastically.
I called Kibum again. Straight to voicemail, again.
Rain started to fall. I sat on the bench and cried.
"Kibummie doesn't care about me. He stood me up." I felt my cellphone vibrate.
"Hello?"
"Donghae! I'm so sorry! I overslept! I'm already here! Where are you?" He said, panicking.
"I'm at the big tree." I muttered.
I saw a dark silhouette with no umbrella running towards me.
"Hae!" He screamed.
I ran, and he ran too. Kibum was faster than me. He caught up.
"Are you mad?" He held my arm tightly.
"I waited for you for three whole hours." I mumbled.
I shook my arm off and went back to running.
Kibum hugged me from behind. "Look, I'm sorry. I love you, and I'll always will."
I turned my head around and Kibum gave me a soft peck on the lips.
He whispered in my ear, "This is our endless moment." And we kissed in the rain.
