I couldn't be prouder of my writing today if I'd won Nanowrimo. Which I'm utterly not going to do. Pride notwithstanding, I headed into town to admire my shiny new paycheque.
A vast Cadbury's truck rolled into town, and I believe my squeak of excitement reached ultrasonic levels. I got a free bar of Cadbury's Caramel, and up until catching sight of the stupid amount of people in town, I was in a good mood. Still, I was mollified by going to a Wetherspoons, where the carrots were so over microwaved, they sat in their slices like thick crisps.
And that got me to thinking, why not carrot crisps? You'd cook them in olive oil, and they'd taste lovely. Maybe there'd be a rosemary flavour, or a tarragon flavour, and everyone knows carrots are good for you, right? Though that could just be second-slice-of-carrot-cake logic, but it's worth finding new ways shoving veg into people.
Speaking of which, £2.20 on a bundle of asparagus! I went a bit nuts at the market, which is why I also have two rainbow trout in my fridge. Never mind, they were fresh and shiny, and I'll soon pop a sprig of dill in them, yes indeed.
