While waiting for my stomach to make its peace with the world, I've been contemplating what a Majors-only tarot made of dog breeds would look like.
I can totally see a couple of Dalmatians running alongside a Chariot, and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel taking her place as Empress (bias? I see no bias!), possibly with a Newfoundland dog as Death. A greyhound chasing a rabbit in an endless circle would be pretty good for the Wheel of Fortune. Sometimes you're the greyhound, and well, sometimes you're the tasty-looking felt thing. The Star would be a bearded collie, because, well, Lassie!
The Devil would be tricky, because there's a lot of people who'd expect to see a Pit Bull or something there, but I'd rather see a human holding a choke chain on that card. There's a great quote that goes "If animals could conceive of a devil, his image would be man's." so rather than slander a breed, I'd use that concept.
I wonder what the other cards would be?
