It's entirely possible that I've read a few too many DC comics recently, but from now on I will always think of the wrinkled peach mushroom as RageShroom. Which logically means the other species must be HopeShrooms.
For those of you thinking I've (finally) cracked, here's the images of the Red Lantern Corps. And yes, that is a cat at the back there. Legend has it the artist wanted to fill up some blank space, so he popped in his cat Dexter on a whim. Everyone who saw it went "that's awesome! We've got to keep the cat!" and Dex-Starr was born.
