Huh. My connection is down at home, so I've been reduced to job hunting online while at work. I'm clearly not the only one- and mysteriously, the job sites have all been unblocked

What's the job situation like over your way?

Also, Cov is 20 minutes away from Brum by train, so not terrible for commuting, if you find work in central Birmingham - I know at least one person who does so.

I recommend Earlsdon as a place to live ;)
