I swear this was supposed to be a savoury dish.
Specifically, it was supposed to be Skirlie, so I accordingly fried an onion and ground some porridge oats into oatmeal. Then I grated a carrot and prepared to pour the mixture over it.
"I've got some apples," says Andy, "help yourself."
So I chopped up half an apple, thinking how well apples go with carrots. Then I put my hand on a packet of sultanas.
The result is odd but nice.
