Good lord. I haven't updated in nearly a month. Um, Sarah meet school. And school, meet Sarah. In fact, I should technically be working on school now, but I just got back from Japanese and am feeling really lazy. Today Mishima-sensei told me I'd be finished with the book in about a month. The book is used for first year Japanese in college... And she thinks I could pass the level 4 literacy test. But I've heard level 4 is a snap... so no big deal there. She said next week she'd 'interview me' to evaluate where I am in learning the language, and it's making me kind of nervous. My speaking/listening skills are very poor ~_~ and I've only got about 90 kanji down well. Ah well, enough whining about stuff I choose to do myself.
Dude, it's been so long, I don't know where to start. Er, Homecoming was a total blast. We danced, which was weird, because I never dance at school dances. But, damn we danced all those hours ^_^ And the mix I made was a hit! There's nothing like driving through Indian Hill in the middle of the night screaming along to Dashboard. :D I also got to see Kristen which was very cool, since I hadn't seen her in 90 years or so.
And volleyball continues to be hell on earth. No, jesus definitely isn't with us there - not even when we play at CHCA. We're a good team. We just hate each other. I wonder who'll be MVP this year... voting was really hard because we are all pretty good (resisting urge to make extremely mean/rude/indecent comment here about 'certain people' and their 'certain styles of playing' aka 'watching the ball drop.' *Stabs something*)
And by the way, after 2 months of whining and bitching about wanting jelly beans, I go with my mom to the mall to get them to find that the store is gone. What the fuck? *shakes fist* Damn the man!!!! I am currently attempting to convince my mother to go to jellybelly.com and buy me some bags of the ones I wanted. Mail order jelly beans. *sweatdrops*
In sad news, I watched the end of Fullmetal Alchemist. My face during the last 2 episodes was something like this (I started watching it fairly late, so I was tired too) ^_^ ~_~ ;_; >_o ;_; o.O O_O ;_;
Basically: wtf? cry. wtf? cry. dear lord! cry. Anyways, the series still comes with my highest recommendation. It's definitely the best anime out of Japan in years. Speaking of anime, guess what's coming up?! (or has actually kind of started) The new fall anime season! So what's to replace the void FMA has left behind?
1. BLEACH!!! - in which an angry boy with orange hair becomes a shinigami. Wooo! :D I love this manga and the first episode of the anime was funny, scary, and cool all at once, so it looks like it's going to be great! But please, no fillers. Ever. Man, I love Ichigo. He's just so angry all the time ^^;; And smexy. Er. And Ruika kicks ass too. Yeah. (Girls are pfffff)
2. Tactics - in which there is a boy with psychic powers and a really hot tengu who becomes his slave. Did I mention that really hot tengu? Well this is from the team who did the MaLoki anime and based on a manga by the same mangakas, so sign me up. :D
Let the hot Tengu be of particular note. Yum.
3. Mein Liebe - in which there are lots of nice looking men. Ok, I'll be honest, I have no idea what it's about, but whoa, they are nice to look at. And to add to it, 3 of my favorite voices! Tomokazu Seki (Kyou of Fruits Basket, Van of Escaflowne, Shuichi of Gravi, pretty much every male lead I've ever liked), Koyasu Takehito (Aya of Weiss Kruez, Zechs of Gundam Wing, Seishirou of Tokyo Bablyon, pretty much every seme in a yaoi drama CD), and Hoshi Souichirou (Goku of Saiyuki, Gakuto from PoT, Kazuma from Scryed, pretty much every overactive angry teen ever). Now that's what I call a voice cast!
4. Harukanaru Toki de etc (aka really long title I cannot remember) - in which *gasp* a girl is transported to another world. Shoot me. No, I'll shoot me. But I'll be watching. *grumble grumble*
5. Ok, this is not the fall season, but in January - SUKISYO!! Woooo, finally some man-snogging on TV! For the first time since Gravi?! I'm so there.
6. Gundam Seed Destiny - in which they continue Gundam Seed and attempt to make it cooler by adding 'Destiny' to the title. Right, destiny. Angst, drama, DESTINY! We get it. Kira still pisses me off.
To finish this long ramble off, I'd like to wish a happy belated b-day to Tezuka. And in dedication to him:
Must ... refrain... from... dirty... comment...
*falls off of chair*
Whoever cast Tezuka should get a medal.
Ok, and wow, after all of that, I'm done. Jya.
P.S. I am currently drawing something. It's kind of embarrassing. I don't know if I should post it. ~_~
