If NBC and sponsors and the US Olympic team hadn't been pushing Ryan Lochte down our throats so much before the Games started, I'd be way more impressed with his showing. Lots of medals, excellent times - what's not to like?

Except he was billed as the New Phelps and has come up woefully short of doing so. Whoops.
