Basketball time! Yay! Stuff to put on TV while I patently refuse to do a single goddamn piece of legitimate work this week during Spring Break!
But here's something that bugs me.
So they show the score at the bottom of the screen (like
here, more or less), and recently, have started putting little colored bars by the team name so as to allow the viewer to differentiate teams. Good idea, right? It can be really, really helpful. Sometimes jerseys are hard to read, or they just don't show them - especially at neutral-site games, where you can't even line up the home jersey (the light colored ones) with the floor.
Except the past couple days, I've noticed problems. Right now, for example - it's Rugters and St. John's playing. Both teams' colors are red and white (and black, I guess?). The genius people at ESPN made the "Team ID" bars the EXACT SAME COLOR of red. How the fuck am I supposed to tell the difference?
And last night, I was watching... I forget what teams. But the ID colors were blue and red - easy, right? No. The teams were wearing black or white.
WTF, ESPN?
(Also, I'm making puppy chow tonight for the first time in ages - yay!)
