Star Wars -
The complaints I had with the third episode are the same complaints I've had with both of the other two of the new batch: bad writing, stiff performances. But if we just accept these things as part of the directorial travesty that is George Lucas and learn to look past them, the movie BLEW MY FUCKING MIND. The story tied up every loose end I could think of as a casual viewer with no nerd-like knowledge of the Star Wars continuum. It sure was pretty to look at, lacking the far too drawn out epic battles that comprised the bulk of the second installment, and had none of the fun for all ages feel of the first. Just...heavy. Go see it, unless you're too cool to like Star Wars at all.
