I have the worst sinus headache.
BUT!
I was talking to my Mom on the phone today and she asks, "What time do they lock the main door downstairs?" "Whyyy?" "Just wondering." "Riiight. Who's planning to visit?" She said it's a surprise. So I ask from the states? Canada? The Philippines? Where? And she said it would give it away, so I figure Canada because that'd definitely be my Grandma who's always travelling. Then I ask, "When?" And she just says, "pavo." So turkey... That means around Thanksgiving. I get all excited and I tell a couple people. I take a shower, then I grab some ingredients and head to the kitchen to make dinner with Michele and Zuleika. We're boiling our pasta, hanging out. I'm standing by the door, and suddenly, I see Sophie, my cousin's wife, in the hall, and then comes Jason with this hardcore heavy duty video camera (they're journalists) and I was just in shock. Ha. I think I screamed. I didn't think the surprise would be today! Jason and Sophie are in their early 30s. They're both news reporters from Vancouver and they're taking six months off to travel through Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Australia. I guess I hadn't realised they had already started their journey. I can't believe I didn't figure it out because they just went through England. Duhhh. I'm so excited. Oh, we de Lara's and our surprise visits. Someone always just shows up in BC or NY and now Scotland! I love it. I showed them my room, my Mom was online so IM her and right away she calls my room and talks to them. Good one, guys. They hang up, my Mom calls NY and Canada to tell them, 'cause I guess everyone knew about it and was waiting in suspense. Ha. So NY people call. "Hahaha you had no idea!" Pop and Tish are in NY for Tish's Oxford interview tomorrow! Oh man. We just went out for dinner and it was really weird to have people from home (kind of) here at university. Being with them almost made me forget where I was. It was so surreal. But anyways, they have an interview with the general manager of the Old Course tomorrow morning. I have class at 12pm, lunch then class again at 2pm, then I'm giving them a little tour of St Andrews and treating them to a nice dinner of haggis! Yum. They're heading to Glasgow Wednesday morning for the day, and then they're off to Cairo! I can't wait to do my share of travelling... Ahh, I love my cousins.
