The Prophecy: Uprising

So, I have a fondness for all of the Prophecy films-even the execrable fifth one-because I'm simply Not Rational about badass angels. I mean, come on: Misha as Castiel! Bettany as Michael! Walken as Gabriel! Durand as Gabriel! Andy Whitfield as Gabriel! Tilda Swinton as, um, Gabriel! (Gabriel is popular it seems?) The evidence speaks for itself: ( Read more... )

Is the one with ex-Spartacus any good?

Um ... no? Oh, I enjoyed it, though. They obviously had a budget of about 50p and a cracked copy of After Effects, and they really made the most of it. Andy is ridiculously pretty and angsty in it, and-well, they had me at the 'fallen angels' bit, really. ;)

Sean Pertwee has been in pretty much everything. I love his little squishy face! You might have seen him in Event Horizon? Or Equilibrium?

Yes. Yes, to the N&S threesome! Poor Henry Lennox-I'm sure a Margaret/Thornton sandwich could put a smile on his sour little lemon face, bless him. I did have a look to see if there was any Thornton/Lennox slash out there (think of the testosterone-fueled tension!), but sadly it seems not.

I desperately want to ship him with Gizzy, because John Light played Geoffrey of Brittany in the 2003 Lion in Winter, and IT COULD HAPPEN! I mean, they were almost exactly the same age, and Gizzy was probably in France when Geoffrey ran away with his boyfriend Philip. I am writing fic in my head where they met at a tourney when Gizzy was trying to earn his way in France, and they spent the entire time bitching about their lack of land and power, and how much they hate that bastard Richard.

I KNOW, RIGHT? IT WOULD BE LIKE AN OVERDOSE OF MUMMY ISSUES AND EVIL SMIRKING. AWESOME.

In the meantime, there is this awesome Geoffrey/Philip piece by Nary: Pro Anima Dilecti Sui

I love Geoff so, so much, the little machiavellian, woobie blighter.
