Independence.
What's the meaning of the word?
It's Christmas Eve night.
Save for Danielson Famile,
Lucky and Chucky the cats,
and the tevelvision,
I am all alone.
Josh is at home with his family,
doing their little thing together.
He then goes to work at 9:45 PM
all the way until mid-night,
then I can pick him up,
and drag him back here for some sleep.
Tomorrow morning, we wake up by 9 am,
and drive to Deadwood to see my folks.
Kaja [new roomate] is in Montanna
with her friends and family.
I decided to stay here, in Rapid,
because 1.) work 2.) the cats need care.
It's been a fairly decent week.
I worked quite a few hours,
(which was a little chaotic, at times)
hung out quite alot with Josh,
and missed home barely at all.
Jessica [best friend from Montanna]
came down last night, to see her family,
and wound up staying here with me.
The silence was awkward and painful
our very little conversation strained.
The death of a friendship is harder to accept
than the awkward silence that fills the void.
So we'll take the silence,
and hold up the signs,
smiling all the while
pretending to be friends for life.
I've changed; she's changed; life goes on.
Cassie and Jenna came down Saturday night
and smoked cigars and watched Donnie Darko with me.
It was a very nice evening.
Josh pulled some lovely anti-social ass hole bit
and we had our first fight over that behavior.
He's just so different from me in that way.
I'm out going, PR all the way.
And he'd rather avoid social situations
if at all possible.
We're learning and growing, together.
Laguna Beach is on MTV.
Mindless dribble is appealing.
Off I go.
<3 Happy Holidays.
My Grades:
Composition I (Honors): A
Geology: C
Geology Lab A
Western Civilization I: C
College Algebra: B
Speech Communication: A
I rolled in with a 3.09 GPA.
I guess college wasn't
a total waste of my time,
after all.
Edit:
Josh and I?
Thanks to Lexa, for the fun Link =)
