Ya' know, that dog looks suspiciously like Golum.

Homework isssss mine preciousssssss.

Must have been a report on Tolkein.

And is it too much to ask for John to write a note?

Ya'know, it does. When I was doodling his stance, I was thinking, "Awww, they're all gonna think it's Gollum-esque." And it is.

HAHA! A report on Tolkien. So true.

I would think that Dean helped him with a make-up book report. Felt bad for losin' the other one because he didn't stick right by his little bro.

I could just imagine what that book report looked like.

My personal theory is that Dean had maybe one or two book reports that he recycled throughout his highschool years. As they changed schools, he simply started through the rotation again.

So my personal mental picture of Dean helping with sam's mental book report consists of Dean scraching his head and saying something to the effect of: Flowers for Algernon? WTF? Why aren't you reading The Deerslayer?

*ROFLDED* Hilarious. Poor Dean. Always seen as the slow one. But really, he's just efficient and clever. Why write more than one book report when you're saving people from an unknown evil that stalks the night?

I dont think that anyone who can build an EMF meter out of a busted walkman is slow. He's just a big beliver in conserving his efforts.

Too true. Plus, there's him spitting out his theory about the identity of the creature in "Scarecrow"...pasting together a annual pattern (that he considers complicated) to come up with a pagan god. That impressed me. So it's not just this "technical/practical" knowledge Dean has, as some have tried to pigeon-hole him. He has book-smarts, too.

Yep. But if there's someone like Sam around to do the legwork, he's perfectly content to let them do it so he can be out there blowing things up/blowing holes in them.

Gives him more time to sharpen/clean/make things for blowing up/blowing holes in/stabbing things.

Them's a lots of slashes! Ha ha!

Let's not forget all the times Dean had to go library-diving alone. He also puts together patterns fast. And lastly, probably the best indicator of his intelligence is when he knows he does not know, and then seeks someone who does, be it a professor or Bob-ay.

I always shelved Dean into the same general category as Rockhound from 'Armageddon':

"You want to compare brain-pans? I won the Westinghouse prize when I was twelve - big deal. Published at 19 - so what? I got a double doctorate from MIT at twenty-two; Chemistry and Geology. I taught at Princeton for two and a half years. Why do I do this? Because the money's good, the scenery changes, and they let me use explosives, okay?"
