My sister was helping clean out the belonging of one of my aunts, who died a few years ago. She found a newspaper article folded and put in a book about our great uncle Will Wunn published January 25, 1959 in the Valley City (ND) Times-Record. It was about postcards he had sent to his mother when he was a student at the State Normal School in Valley City starting in 1912; they were found hidden in the walls of house being dismantled and were eventually given to the county museum in Vally City. The article revealed some of the past of our great uncle, that we did not know, such as he didn't enroll in college until he was 34. My sister is trying to get my mother, who lived with him and his wife and son in Eugene, Oregon from 1932 until 1941 to tell us more about his earlier life that she may know about. I knew some things about him that my sister did not know as I would stop by their house often in the early 1960's when I would go to downtown Eugene, and my mother would pick me up from there on her way home from her job at Iverson Paints on the west side of town. I suggested to my sister that she should try to get copies of the postcards, which might be interesting to people in her town of Forman, ND where he taught until 1932 and where they are having a 125th anniversary celebration of the founding of the town.
