Sinus infection & telecommuting

Jan 30, 2006 17:15

My sinuses have been draining for a few days, I tried some OTC meds that I had laying around on Friday night and it didn't work. Starting yesterday I started getting a cough, but not coughing up phlegm. Keep waking up every hour or so all night which I'd been doing to several nights. So after I did some work at City Hall, I went home to telecommute until my 5:30PM appointment; when I got home, there was a message from my doctor asking if I'd like to come in at 11:30AM which I did. Diagnosis: sinus infection, take a pill twice a day with meals for ten days. Finally gave up on the telecommuting a few minutes ago. Depending how I feel tomorrow, I make take my first ever sick leave in almost 5 years with the City. Running temp of 100.4 a few minutes ago, which doesn't sound that bad, except my normal temp is 96.8; bought a new digital thermometer today since I am not sure where my old one is and I though I probably should monitor my temperature over the next few days. The cough is real fun because I have a hard time breathing when I am coughing. Oh yah, I've got a headache too.
