Used to be so simple in the old days... A simple choice of red or blue. Yet, in this setting, in this locale, I find myself operating more and more like some digital facsimile of Morpheus; a capacity which, needless to say, I have no desire nor compunction to exist within.
Until sufficient numbers here learn to open the system, however, we'll be forced to co-exist along pre-defined sub-routines. Some evolving to one state and, in some cases, others demoting to another.
Exiles, nevertheless, all.
And so, it seems I have something of a mandate to point out the obvious, does it not? To bring attention to the simple fact that, according to records, as time goes on, so the increasingly ridiculous and/or outrageously incopatible to a more... Contemporary setting... The percentage of new intakes become: Whereas, once upon a time, there was the odd pirate, military gentleman escaped from viral decimation and even a bipedal parasite or two, the vessel has grown exponentially... Where Han Solo wandered your halls, now you have the much-vaunted Cobra Commander and Captain Kirk, while none of you even now question the presence of time-travellers or, indeed, myself: A one-time enforcer of the very system you are, once again, imprisoned by.
What's the phrase? Out of sight, out of mind?
Of course it is...
