Wanted: JE fans
DESPERATE REQUEST FOR HELP
~FRIENDS~, ~LURKERS~, ~JE FANS OF ALL VARIETIES~: PLZ ASSIST.
Here's the deal: I'm doing my bachelor's thesis about gender roles and fandom. After the conceptual part on fandom, and fandom in relation to gender and androgyny in Japan, I'm expected to do my own analysis. Which I will ideally do about Johnny's fandom. (HI GUYS.) This will most likely consist of slightly indepth interviews on why people are attracted to fandom/johnnys or concerning how it affects gender identity SO WHICH PART OF YAMAPI DO YOU THINK IS SO HOT, EXACTLY.
And by 'people' I mean I am looking hopefully in your direction. >__>
I'm sorry to say that at this moment, I haven't got any concrete questions yet. I am just starting on my thesis (the first draft is due March 24, if you're interested in a timeline, I'll need to have done the conceptual part by February 17), but my thesis advisor was worried about my ability to contact fans, so. Here I am. Contacting you. I am still working on exactly how to do this with foreign fans vs. Japanese fans, I still need to discuss that with my advisor, but as foreign fans are more reachable for me, here is my first cry for help. >_>
So. If you're up to telling me exactly why JE is so awesome and what it does to you (I will come at you with actual questions when the time comes, don't worry), I would be ETERNALLY GRATEFUL. Also, you know you want to go down in academic history as A-san the bite victim.
