Note to self: Drinking a Starbucks Mocha Frapp and a medium soda at the movie theater = 2 No-Doze

Things are slowly, but surely starting to look up. I'm starting to acclimate myself to this environment. My arm is moving again, but only tiny bit by tiny bit. I finally was able to get my MAJOR hospital bill reduced, one step at a time. All of this patience is finally starting to feel NORMAL to me. That's hard, considering I'm efficient to the point of having everything done last week. It's an improvement though.

Speaking of starting things up, I finally decided to resume my usual weekend activities, big huge clunky eye-sore of a brace or not. I just can't bring myself to put my whole life on hold until at least mid-June when I can get the damn thing off.

On Thursday night and Friday night I had a couple of heart-to-hearts with Cherawn and Leah, respectively. I amused myself with the downtown late night crowd. Saturday night I went and first hung out with some of my classmates, and then me and my classmate Amanda broke off to meet up with some of her coworkers who were HIGHLY entertaining. When Dan asked how I broke my arm, this conversation ensued: Dan: "How'd you break your arm?" Amanda: "She got into a huge fight at club Eden." Dan: "I know how you roll..." Towards the end of the night, I ended up running into my friend Steven at the Ritz. In a semi-drunken stupor I remember telling him that we should hang out on Sunday, and never one to forget even the most drunken of promises, I called him the next day, and we did indeed hang out.

Actually, we went to Starbucks to catch up, at which point I ordered a tall mocha frapp. We then decided to go see a movie, and upon reaching the movie theater, we realized that we had about an hour until our movie actually started, so, I ordered a medium cherry coke. Now, I'm not sure what the caffene content is on each of these drinks, but at about three in the morning I realized that it must be AT LEAST that of two extra-strength No-Doze. I didn't end up getting to sleep until 4 in the morning, and I had to wake up at 7. For a person who has one degree and is now working on her second, I'm not always the sharpest crayon in the box. I will not be making THAT mistake again anytime soon.

Finally... This morning I was able to get my $27,000 hospital bill taken care of. It was reduced to a mere $390 that I was able to pay up front. I believe the first words out of my mouth after I left the hospital were: "Praise the lord and all that is holy!" I'm not even all that spiritual.

downtown, fun, money, drunk, friends, broken arm, eden
