Those damn grassfires were not too far from my house. They kept saying one was west of 360 in Arlington, but they never said WHERE west of 360, so my Mom was flipping out. I told her that I wasn't going to be worried until I smelled smoke in the air and heard both helicopters and fire engine sirens coming down the street. I figure my house has some sort of magic forcefield around it, because that tornado in the spring of '00 went straight through our neighborhood, but it went through the newer houses, so our house was spared. It was a good thing too, because we were all out in the living room at the time anyway. I don't remember the last time we took a tornado warning seriously.
Either way, my brother and I had to go out and spray the yard and roof. Needless to say, my house is still here.
