Well, the gym thing worked out fine. I went in and asked nicely for the fees for the coming months removed, and the guy (thank HEAVENS I believe in flirtatious flattery) who is in charge of that area has known me for a year now, and so he just took it all off.

My credit card company, however, is right now being called...again. The money still has not gone through to my account, and another charge, which I accepted with good faith the day after they reassured me that they had fixed the issue, apparently doesn't even show on their computers AT ALL. All in all $600 in charges that I am missing. I asked to talk to her boss. She told me he had just stepped out. I said, ok that's fine....put me on the phone with your bosses boss. Now. I finally threw a fit and got the head of the department of one company on the phone, then threw a fit so now he's trying to get a manager from the hardware system people on the line. He is right now being very annoyed at the loooooong list of options that he has to wade through with the other company to get to a person.....he finally got all the way through the options list....to the point where it told him to call - you guessed it- himself lol I laughed at that point and told him to now turn aruond and do the same thing with his company, only to be told to call BACK to the company that just told him to call himself.

At this point he apologized profusely, realizing that I have run this gauntlet a dozen times now.

They finally got an idea of where the problem might lie. I have the direct phone # to the manager and he is going to keep looking at the account this afternoon, calling me if there is anything else that they might have missed or had issues with. He is also going to call me in the morning to let me know if the batch went through properly or not this time.

I hate throwing fits at customer service people, but hanged if I'm going to talk to them again. From now on, it's the manager or bust!
