Anna Fegi didn't sell.

I've been a busy the past couple of weeks so of course I had no time to post. I've been meaning to do so since September but my Photobucket account is near full. Also, these photos won't ever upload in the correct size. It drove me near crazy. I had to keep editing to see how else to get them to load properly, Photobucket always resizes them smaller. Damn it. The one above, Leica had to upload it for me on Flickr. I know I have a Flickr account but I've forgotten my user name, password and the email addy I used to open it. Yes, sometimes genius strikes me. *toink*

It's just that that particular photo, Photobucket seems to hate it so. I've been trying for more than a month now to get it to upload properly, no dice. It always gets resized super small, and today, adding insult to injury, it's uploading pixellized. Gah.

Look, here's it's sister photo:

Uploads well enough.

Look at when I uploaded them together:

Too damn small! It's supposed to be twice as big.

As you all know, I've been experimenting with photoshop a lot when I have time. This was from a month or so ago. I was looking at her pictures and I kept being put off by something. I noticed her eyes weren't pantay. Yes, photoshop to the rescue. Also, the picture I liked dint have the flare I liked so I had to composite two pictures. There, final copy.

I still need to have this darm monitor calibrated tho, so if the colors are off, sorry.

Thos one is from a magazine editorial, the one the EIC praised me for. The first photo is a composite of three photos. The main photo for her body and the boat, another photo for her legs and yet another photo for her face.

I'm waiting for the new series of billboards to crop up. I'm sure the John Lloyd one/s will be up before the month is over. I think something for SM will be up near their Centerpoint Mall in a couple of weeks, while a billboard on EDSA (I think?) should be up by November. I don't think I'll get booked for a shoe brand because when the principal contacted me, I was too busy to actually do anything for it. Plus, their budget was too low. I know I accept low-budget projects but that one I had to pullout sofas. the budget they gave, it would probably cover the sofa, not much else. I don't think so.

I have two food calendars coming up, one for Goldilocks (c/o Kaibo) and another for Purefoods. I don't think I want to accept another one for that particular Purefoods food category. Six layouts and we finished past two am! We were there since 830am. :O It was because of a super anal boss who kept on disappearing on us. She's nice as a person, but really anal as the one in charge of the shoot. I'll put the finished product in my folio but I'm sure I'll choose other layouts than the final ones to print out.

Since I've been runnin around like a headless chicken the past couple of weeks, I've been fighting a losing battle with my reading list. I actually wrote down all the books I have yet to read and finish last month and I've hardly made an inroad. It's my fault too because I keep on buying new ones.

Here, let me list them down for you. recommend which I should read or finish first.

To Read:

1) Jonathan Strange and Mr Norell

I bought the hard bound version in the States February this year. Obviously, untouched in one of the book cabinets in my room.

2) Atkins for Life

Part of the losing battle to diet. Again, hard bound bought in the US. Check out my "To Finish" list. :/

3) The Best Stories of HG Wells

Anthology. I looove anthologies.

4) The South beach Diet Good Fats, Good Carbs Guide

See number 2.

5) Steel Beach

Please don't mind the title, it's actually a sci-fi book by John Varley.

6) How Stella Got Her Groove Back

Ratty second hand paperback, don't look at me. Haha.

7) The Source, James Michener

I like his books but I've only ever finished one, Alaska. I think I was...fifteen when I first read and loved it.

8) Angels and Demons, Dan Brown

I'm trying to see if this will make me forgive him for the runaway hit that was The Da Vinci Code. I don't get it's success kasi.

9) Wolves in the Wall

10) The Day I Swapped My Dad for Two Goldfish

Neil, Neil, Neil. I spent close to 8k when he went here last July. Obviously, a few fell through the cracks and I never got to read them.

Yes, I pre-ordered Anansi Boys. Yes, I've finished reading it. More on this later.

11) The Wizard At Large, Terry Brooks

12) Psychic Diaries, Lisa Mateu

Dunno, it seemed interesting at the time.

13) The Blind Assasin, Margaret Atwood

One of my favorite authors. It's just that I notice that I never like her books at first reading, usually second reading ko na nagugustuhan. Weird, huh?

14) Idlewild, Nick Sagan

15) The Dark Tower Books, Stephen King

All SEVEN of them. Argh.

I won't list the books in my brother's room. I know I still have at least ten books (maybe nearing twenty) that I have yet to read over there, mostly of the sci-fi and fantasy genre.

To Finish Reading:

This means I've started on these books, maybe got as far as Ch 3 if I'm lucky, then something else caught my attention.

1) Portnoy's Complaint, Philip Roth

2) The French Liutenant's Woman, John Fowles

Boring.

3) Enchantress of The Stars, Sylvia Louise Engdahl

It's obvious why I bought it. It's actually a pre-teen book considered a classic (maybe in sci-fi/fantasy circles?)

4) Earthquake Weather, Tim Powers

5) The Adventures of Lucky Pierre, Robert Coover

Boring. First part's too pa-intellectual for me. The dust jacket synopsis was at fault for me buying this. I will give a chance once I find time to read past the first story.

6) Jack London Stories of Adventure

Anthology.

7) Ghost Story, Peter Straub

remember when I got sick last June? This was what I was reading prior to it. I had to stop because it's too dark a book to read while you're sick. I haven't gotten back to finishing it, but I know I'm around 50% in.

8) What Should I Do With My Life, Po Bronson

Ok, this is at least a year on my to-read list. At least.

9) Maya, Jostein Gardner

It's too similar to his other books, particularly Solitaire Mystery. Boring tuloy. I can't get caught up in it, even though I've tried starting it again and again.

10) He's Just Not That Into You

The title alone suffices. I don't have to wade through the whole thing. Anyway, this isn't my problem anymore. Hahaha.

11) The Little Book of Etiquette, Shiela M. Long

Yes, small book. So sue me.

12) Sophie's World, Jostein Gaarder

Again, another book by JG, his classic. I bought this to read to the US. Ayun, nakaalis na at bumalik, didn't even progress a page.

Knowing that I have this lot to get through, of course I have to buy yet more books. Of course, I finish them first. I already mentioned I pre-ordered Anansi Boys. I found it...ok. American Gods is way better. I think the problem first stemmed from having heard Neil read a couple of chapters from it live. You know how when you read, you hear it in your head? You have your own voices for the characters? Well, for the first half of the book, I heard Neil's voice! It kept on interfering with the regular voice! It drove me nuts. That may be the last time I go to a live reading by an author.

I also just finished Wicked. Yes, out of frustration of not being able to watch the musical, I bought the book. Uh...not my cup of tea. I think I would have preferred the musical better.

I bought two books (lang!!!) the last bookfair. I liked both of them, Serving Crazy with Curry by Amulya Malladi, and Number 9 Dream, by David Mitchell.

Ok, what else...

No lovelife, as always, though there was another model asking me out. Now it's an Italian guy naman. Turned all of them down. *bow* Pampahaba lang sila ng hair. :D

One of my married couples gave birth yesterday so that's good news. I'll be godmother again. I'll probably drop by tomorrow.

Party tonight. Yey!
