And I actually enjoyed parts of the process this year. I didn't want to run out, and I found three songs I wanted to sing, so I had at least three votes this year.
And that's good. You were funny and interesting and you did a great job allowing just enough processing so that people got what they needed without going overboard. You handled interruptions with poise and grace and humor.
You made song selection. . . [GASP!] fun.
And for the record - I have trouble figuring out where I fit in, too, and I get a great amount of anxiety over it.
The cool thing about you is that even if you do feel anxious, you'd never know it. You're such a great conversationalist. You know a lot of stuff, and you're always interesting and funny, even if you're only talking about mundane stuff.
And you can ask anyone who knows you if you don't believe me, but it's true. You're good company. And who doesn't need good company?
