Eek!  An average of 2.4 out of 10 and not a single good review. I thought it looked like it could be good from the trailers and "sneak peeks" I'd seen. Oh well, I suppose there's still a chance I'll like it and if worst comes to worst at least I'll still have something pretty (Josh) to look at.

Oh, wow...that sucks (about the movie, not the vacation *g*). I've watched many a crappy movie because one of my favorite actors was in it, but I was hoping this one would at least be okay. Maybe it still will be. I tend to like quirky, off-beat movies more than big blockbusters.

The Bristol Vegan Fayre sounds really cool. I've never been to anything like that. I don't think I've ever met another vegan in real life besides my own kids. I have two aunts who are vegetarian, but not vegan. I'd love to go someplace where everyone knew what "vegan" actually meant and I wouldn't have to worry that they thought chicken broth or tuna was vegetarian.

The Bristol Vegan Fayre is pretty cool, although a few non-vegan things have been known to sneak in there accidentally. Last year one of my (vegan) friends was offered a free sample, he was just about to pop it in his mouth when the man behind the stall said "oh that has honey in it, some vegans avoid that". My friend was not impressed.

Yikes. Yeah, I usually can't stop myself from reading ingredients anyway, but at something like that, they probably don't have a list of ingredients attached to everything. You just trust people to know what vegan means.

Thanks. Although there's been a minor change of plan now, we're now going to be catching a train to the fayre for the day and probably going camping somewhere else next week instead.

I hope this movie isn't harder to watch than Special. Have you seen that one? (Josh has small part.)

One of the reviewers at least praised the performances of the young actors and scorned the writer / director for making a mush of it. I'm still looking forward to it, to see what Josh does.

Never been to Bristol, but spent the day in Bath once. We stayed in Somerset for a week and then in Plymouth for a week, tried to cover a lot of ground between the two places. Glastonbury was interesting.

I have Special on DVD (it was only £5), I didn't think it was THAT bad. Josh was the definitely the best bit though, obviously.

I went camping in Bath and Bristol last year too. I was at Glastonbury festival in 2007. I came home caked from head to toe in mud and I think I was starting to develop trench foot.It was fun though.
