Happy Thanksgiving . . . I hope! he he
The paperwork is still processing for my flight home but hopefully we'll get it back by the end of the week and I'll get a call early next week telling me to get ready to fly out!! I hope so anyway, I'm READY to go! lol They said for carry-on its as much as you can carry! lol That made me laugh imagining someone carrying all this shit and barely being able to get up into the plane! I'm not taking very much stuff anyway, with Alex I'll need to be able to carry everything AND have free hands to push the stroller and everything.
I can't sleep because I keep going through in my head all the things I need to pack and everything. It's not that much stuff because I'm going SHOPPING in WA. Oooh maybe I should plan a trip to Portland to shop tax free! lol I'm going to raid sales rack since I'll be on a budget :-( stupid money, I wish I had tons to go back home with lol!
My new class is an introduction to computer based systems, its going to be a lot of reading but it shouldn't be too hard.
Ugh I'm getting back into my insomnia phase where I just can't sleep at night. Hopefully this will pass soon because I like getting enough sleep!
ALEX IS TWO ON SATURDAY! TWO YEARS OLD! lol Its crazy to think that I had him two whole years ago! Where did the time go?
Oh our cost of living adjustment is going down because the pound to dollar rate is going down so I'm going to get a job when I get back from my little vacation so we can pay off a bunch of bills before we leave here. I'm really hoping for a job at the library. It would give me some experience so I can work in a library in the states, plus it is a government job so that means that when we leave here they have to find me a job in the states with the same pay. They are hiring at the library but I'm not sure if you need previous experience for the job, it is a level 01 job, so essentially it is entry level, but on the application it asks if you have experience working with library systems. So I am confused and I'm going to go into the library to ask someone. If not the library I can always go back to working for AAFES, which isn't so bad but it wouldn't give me any library experience, which is what I really want. The only shitty thing about working for AAFES is that they don't pay very much, but I'm wondering if I can negotiate my pay so it will be worthwhile.
My friend Erin over here already said she would watch Alex for me, we both need extra money right now so it would work out, even though for child care I would be paying out about half my paycheck to her, but that would still give us some extra money each month to put towards some bills. I will just be sad to not be able to spend so much time with Alex, but it has to happen eventually!
Anyway I hope to be home for Thanksgiving so everyone get ready to meet you nephew/grandson, or whatever Alex is to whoever might be reading this! lol
