(no subject)
So i'm pretty sure I've broken my left big toe. I dropped a shelf on it on Tuesday and it bruised and was very sore. Then on Wednesday and Thursday I wore a pair of Rocket Dog flats with a stiff, thick sole but barely enough material on top to cover my toes. I also sat at Panera for most of the day because of the bug situation at my apartment. Toe really didn't bother me. Yesterday I put sneakers on to work around the house and within ten minutes was in excruciating pain. Examined foot and found an odd lump just above where my toe joins my foot and whole toe really hurts now. I hit it just at the joint between foot and toe and that's where it hurts the most. No health insurance until this week with new job so I'm just hobbling at the moment. I know- I'm stupid but I can't pay my rent that's due today so I really can't afford xrays.
So....my broken toe and I are off to Ohio to spend the day at my parent's house getting the Christmas tree and decorating.
Cats are adjusting well to new place. Edy has come out of the hibernation she's been in for three weeks so it's definitely getting better! I've also only seen dead bugs for the last couple of days so definite progress on that, too (landlord had exterminator come a couple days ago). Will post some observations of West Virginia maybe tonight.
