Overflowing Shamelessness
We had an avalanche of Shameless news over the last two weeks: trailers, covers, appearances. Holy crap. Let's get to it!
We're going to start with Kiki Hamilton's trailer for THE FAERIE RING which she just debuted a couple of days ago.
But Kiki's not the only one with a brand new book trailer. Dawn Metcalf's trailer for LUMINOUS is available now, too!
I have to say, these are two of my favorite trailers of the 2011 debuts! Dawn is also doing a contest in conjunction with her new trailer. Check it out here!
Kate Milford's THE BONESHAKER is back in the news. The paperback version will hit stores at the end of May and the audio version is now available from Audible!
Grace Lin is back in the news as well. The WHERE THE MOUNTAIN MEETS THE MOON paperback is on the IndieBound Bestseller List for the 2nd time, this week at #6!
Not to be outdone, Wendy Delsol released her cover for FROST, the follow up to STORK. We think it's gorgeous!
Wendy will be signing ARCs at BEA next month in the Candlewick Press booth on Wednesday, May 25th. Be sure to look for her there!
Speaking of signings and appearances, the Inkies have a BUNCH of those coming up. Inkies Ellen Booraem, Marissa Doyle, Deva Fagan, Dawn Metcalf, and Kate Milford will discuss "How to Build a Fantasy" in a panel discussion at Tatnuck Booksellers, Westborough, Massachusetts, on May 21 at 2:30 p.m. They'll discuss several major components of a successful fantasy, such as character, world-building, and references to history or legend. They also will talk about their own experiences in the publishing industry.
Meanwhile, Nancy Holder - who just recently sold German rights to the New York Times bestselling novel, WICKED: RESURRECTION - will be signing TODAY at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books with her co-author Debbie Viguie.

Following her signing at LATFOB, Cindy and Malinda Lo are kicking off their Diversity Tour, celebrating diversity in YA fiction. They'll be doing appearances in San Francisco, Austin, Chicago, Boston and NYC!
