Summary: Harry and Draco have their "talk".

"Potter, we need to talk."

Harry's heart stuttered in excitement and dread. He stepped back and gestured for Malfoy to come in. "Let's go sit in the garden," Harry suggested. He turned to lead the way, trusting Malfoy would follow. They exited the house through the kitchen and settled into wicker chairs in the garden. Malfoy had enjoyed playing and exploring out here when he was part feline, and Harry hoped the setting would soothe his unexpected guest.

"Would you care for anything?" Harry offered politely. "Tea, perhaps?"

"I...that would be lovely, thank you," Malfoy accepted.

Harry left his guest in the garden while he returned to the kitchen and bustled about, preparing tea and a plate of biscuits. He was anxious to find out why Malfoy had come to see him, but Harry wasn't sure he wanted to know. What if Malfoy was angry about the entire incident and planned to hex first and ask questions later? Gathering his Gryffindor courage, Harry carried the tea and biscuits to the garden, setting the service on a small table between the chairs. "Here we are," he said with false cheer.

"Thank you, Potter," Malfoy said while his host poured him a cup of tea.

"It was nothing," Harry replied. "I was about to take tea, myself, and I-"

"That's not what I meant," Malfoy cut in. "I wanted to thank you for...for treating me well when I was not myself. It can't be easy to open your home to someone like me."

"Someone like you?"

Malfoy fidgeted with his tea cup. "Someone who believed he was a cat, for one thing, and for another, you and I weren't exactly friends to begin with."

Harry shrugged and took a sip of tea. "Fortunately for you, I happen to like cats."

Malfoy flushed. "Yes, well, if you tell anyone of my ridiculous behavior during that time, I will not hesitate to hex you in a manner most foul."

Harry tried and failed to hide a grin. "I don't doubt that you would, but I have no intentions of telling anyone what a cute kitty you made," he said. Malfoy shot him a nasty glare, but when he saw Harry's eyes were dancing with laughter, he managed a reluctant smile of his own. Casually, Harry asked, "Do you remember much from that time?"

Malfoy pushed a biscuit around on his plate. "I remember everything," he admitted.

Harry winced. Not knowing what else to say, he tried, "Sorry about the catnip."

"That only excused some of my absurd behavior," Malfoy snorted.

"You did believe you were a cat," Harry reminded him. "You even had feline features."

Malfoy cleared his throat in an embarrassed cough. "Again, I wanted you to know I appreciate that you accepted me into your home and took care of me."

Harry was left with the impression that his guest had something else he wished to say. "And?" he prompted.

Malfoy took a deep breath. "And, I wanted you to know that I...that I liked it when...whenyourubbedmytummy," he confessed in a rush. Harry grinned in delight, but Malfoy misunderstood his expression. "There's no need to smirk about it, Potter," he snapped irritably. "It's not as if you didn't enjoy it when I kneaded you."

Harry laughed. "I'm not denying it," he assured Malfoy, "but tell me this--did you come here today merely to thank me, or did you want another tummy rub?"
