Summary: Draco wants to drive Harry's car, but he needs some lessons first.
"I want to drive the Fairy car," Draco declared one day.
"Not without driving lessons first, you won't," snorted Harry. As an afterthought, he added, "And the car is a Ferrari."

Harry had had the good sense to buy a battered old Peugeot for Draco to learn on, but he had plenty of cause to question his own judgment otherwise. Draco tackled his driving lessons with a zeal he normally only displayed when it came to sex. Of course, the fact that Harry had once charmed the Ferrari's gear stick may have had something to do with his boyfriend's single-mindedness.
Harry drove the Peugeot out to the countryside before he allowed Draco behind the wheel. The small auto hopped and sputtered before Draco got it going, and Harry winced at the sound of the gears grinding when his boyfriend tried to shift. Eventually, Draco became adequately competent at driving along a flat stretch of road, and Harry called a halt to the proceedings for the day. He rewarded Draco's progress with a rousing shag when they returned home.
The following day, Harry had Draco try driving up and down some hills. The poor little Peugeot killed so many times that Harry took to calling it The Auto That Lived when Draco would manage to get it going again. His boyfriend did not find this amusing, and Draco grew increasingly frustrated when he couldn't get the car to move from a standing stop on a hillside. He got angry and demanded that Harry take him home. There was no sex that night.
The third day, a chastised, surly and randy Draco tried it again. He was determined to succeed on the hills, and he did. Harry was so pleased with his boyfriend's progress that he bestowed a blow job on Draco right there in the Peugeot.
After Draco spent the next two days mastering the skills he'd learned, Harry deemed he was ready to drive to the nearest village to see how he fared in traffic. They never made it that far.
As Draco was winding through the hills, they came to a curve that was hemmed in by steep slopes on both sides. When Draco slowed to make the corner, a lorry came barreling through from the other side, crowding the little Peugeot. Draco panicked. With a frightened cry, he took his hands off the steering wheel in favor of flinging them over his eyes so he wouldn't have to see his own death as it occurred.
Harry yelled and grabbed the wheel, managing to steer the auto through the pass and out the other side before maneuvering it off the road and ordering Draco to brake. The Auto That Lived had survived a close call, and its occupants would also live to see another day. Whether Harry survived the subsequent heart attack was another matter.
"Bloody fucking Merlin!" he yelled. "You almost got us killed!"
"That idiot lorry driver almost killed us!" Draco shouted right back.
"You can't take your hands off the wheel and cover your eyes!"
"I was bracing for impact!"
Harry struggled to control his temper and his blood pressure. "Let's not argue," he sighed. "I'll drive us home, and you can try again tomorrow."
"I don't think I want to drive anymore," Draco whined. "Can't you just take me for a ride in the Fairy car tomorrow instead?"
Harry's anxiety fled in the face of Draco's self-doubting. Reaching over to brush a strand of hair behind Draco's ear, he smiled and said, "Yeah, I'll take you for a ride in the Ferrari tomorrow. But the very next day, you and I have a date with the Peugeot again. I'm very proud of how much you've learned this week, and I won't let one minor mishap interfere with your driving lessons."
"Really, Harry?" beamed Draco. When his boyfriend nodded, Draco smiled coyly and suggested, "Maybe I'll learn more quickly if you enchant the gear shift on my car, too."
